Stephan Genze studied classical percussion and jazz drums at University of the Arts in Berlin.
He plays and has played in numerous musical and theatre productions, including Variete Wintergarten, Berlin RIAS Big Band, Filmorchester Babelsberg and Big Band.
Among others he has worked with the following artists:
Gitte Haenning, Bill Ramsey, Ack v. Royen, Rolf Kühn, Reinhardt Mey, Pe Werner, Ute Lemper, Roy Hargroove, Klaus Hoffmann, Katja Ebstein, Mary, Helen Schneider, Tim Fischer, Kim Fischer. Stephan Genze is author of the drum books Popular Styles for drumset 1 & 2 and Bigband Drumming.
