Our Newest Course
Anika & Claus keeping tradition alive
“Rudiments are a European tradition that was transported to the US” – Claus Hessler
As of today, we have just released our latest course featuring two of the drumming community’s (and Germany’s) most special musicians & educators!
Claus Hessler and Anika Nilles join us on Drumtrainer Online for ‘The Rudimental Codex’ course, which is a collection of patterns with their roots in European rudimental drumming traditions in France, Switzerland and Germany. The duo shares their favourite rudiments from the codex and explain some more unconventional rudiments you may not have come across before like the Coup de Charge or the Swiss Dragadiddle.
This course is for those of you who want to honour the tradition and dive deep into the world of rudimental drumming from two of the best. You can watch our trailer for the course below!
Pro Training Update
Our Open Day and Live Exam
Last Sunday, we hosted our free intermediate workshops with our ‘Pro Training’ lecturers to give 7 awesome drummers a taste of what our one year long intensive Pro Training course could be like. We had an awesome time and it’s always such a pleasure to get to know drummers of such different & diverse backgrounds!
Afterwards, we travelled from Friedrichshain to Kreuzberg to watch our current Pro Training students put on an awesome show at the Junction Bar for their ‘Live Exam’ before opening up the floor to the musicians of Berlin for a funky/blues jam session.
Both our 1 year and 2 year courses are almost at capacity so if you’ve ever considered studying the art of drumming for a short intense time or becoming a ‘pro’ then write to us at curious@drumtrainerberlin.com for more information!
